Yes Bank partnered with SellerApp to promote ONDC adoption

Yes Bank announced their partnership with SellerApp, a seller-centric intelligence platform to encourage the seller segment of its client base to adopt Open Network Digital Commerce (ONDC) and help them expand their digital commerce footprint.

“This is a fantastic example of Yes Bank developing a varied business strategy to integrate into an Open Network.” “I am certain that this model will turn into a huge boon in boosting market access for their corporate clients, tiny and medium firms that will be going online for the first time,” said T Koshy, MD, and CEO of ONDC.

ONDC is an Indian government strategic effort aiming at democratizing the whole digital commerce environment. In the Indian e-commerce business, the network is also being established as a competitor to Walmart-owned Flipkart and Amazon. According to sources, both platforms are aiming to connect with ONDC.

“We are excited to give our corporate clients access to the critical ONDC network, which strives to democratize the digital commerce market and give businesses greater leverage.” “Through this partnership, we will be able to favorably affect the business momentum of our SME, MSME, as well as other enterprise customers across India & Bharat,” stated Prashant Kumar, MD & CEO of Yes Bank.

“Based on our tremendous variety and market size, each digital revolution in India has had an influence, as shown in the case of UPI or Aadhar.” The way we envision ONDC taking shape, will redefine how commerce is done in India today, and it is our joy to collaborate with Yes Bank on this journey,” Brij Purohit, Co-founder of SellerApp.com, stated.

ONDC, managed by Koshy, is onboarding buyers and sellers as it prepares to launch in 75 locations this month and expand into categories such as electronics, apparel, and others. Reliance Retail-backed Dunzo’s B2B logistics arm D4B joined the network earlier this month to provide last mile services, while Reliance Retail-owned logistics firm Grab also integrated on ONDC. On July 20, ET reported that significant investors such as SoftBank and several others have requested their India portfolio companies to consider agreements with ONDC.
