Meteor Venture | Promoting Potential Startups to Reach Their Zenith of Success

“Every action we take, impacts the lives of others around us. The question is, are you aware of your impact?” Arpit Chundawat, Co-Founder, Meteor Venture.

Arpit engaged in a thorough interview with Startup Story opening up about the structure and functioning of Meteor Venture, which offers seed-stage startups incubation programs to empower early-stage entrepreneurs on the whole.

Arpit as a founder has come a long way, having been involved in the startup ecosystem for over 12 years now, and had run Dragoon Yacht in Bali which is a yacht charter company that had to shift to a marketplace business model because of the pandemic.  However, this served as Arpit’s opportunity to stumble upon the concept of Meteor Venture, an impact driven startup founded in December, 2020.

Meteor Venture- mentoring purpose driven startups

When asked by Startup story to tell the core idea behind the impact they were trying to create with the name Meteor Venture, Arpit told us that “not all startups become unicorns but, if they are incubated and mentored, they are already on the path to earn decent profits”

Meteor Venture has its base setup in Gurugram, wherein they are providing four programmes: Raising Capital, Grow your Business, Idea to product and Financial Coach. These programs help startups at different stages from creating an MVP, to acquiring new customers, to increasing overall revenue, giving them financial mentorship, etc. Meteor Venture also helps various startups be investor ready and helps them get funded through their large network of angel investors / VCs.

“Work for a purpose, rather than just picking up a project for the sake of it,” Arpit Chundawat, Co-Founder, Meteor Venture, further added that a startup has to cover a tough journey and considerably spend a lot of time on the basics, on similar lines Meteor Venture conducted a deep research and using their own expertise in the field they came up with programs suited according to the needs of developing to growing startup’s.

Meteor Venture helps startup’s to cover various aspects from developing business plans to financial advisory, administrative work, marketing, etc. Having an intensive network they also help revenue generating startup’s find partners giving them the opportunity to grow further, citing an incidence Arpit said that he had come across a platform with a phenomenal idea but they lacked the requisite skills to sell their product and so Meteor Venture helped hem build a structure, gave them free leads to further test what they could capably accomplish.

Collaborating with startups

When asked by Startup story about how they form the collaborations with various startup’s at Meteor Venture, Arpit told us that it was quite organic and works both ways, every collaboration is ‘unique’, depending upon the need and requirement of a certain startup.

“As an entrepreneur, one should always be flexible with the product improvement and allow the product team to be creative allowing oneself to view from a third person perspective,”Arpit Chundawat, Co-Founder, Meteor Ventures.

He further elaborated, that at Meteor Venture they had  set programs for each startup, and since majorly every startup is looking to raise capital, they conduct evaluating the product validation in the market, examine customer base and growth and the kind of revenue being generated they add the startup with promising reports to their raise capital program. If not, they move the startup into the Grow your Startup program where they further mentor the startup and give them free leads to monitor their growth.

Feedback and Startups Impacted

When asked about the number of Startup’s impacted so far by Meteor Venture and who they are working in close collaboration with, Arpit told Startup story about seven of these startup’s and gave us a deeper insight into them, he introduced an Edtech startup, a unique platform allowing parents to get connected and receive help with admission procedures, and choose the right school for their children. Next, he introduced Rekindle, a recent startup which was creating its own niche with competitors like bumble and tinder, this platform is allowing widowed, separated or divorced people find their partners without judgement. Arpit said he was quite proud to have these ventures and they are all potential startups with promising results.

The team and investors onboard

Future plans

Startup story asked Arpit about how the future looked like for Meteor Venture to which he replied, we are on a path of steady growth, working with a handful of startups. At Meteor Venture they do not wish to grow aggressively but want to make a deeper impact with the kind of startup’s they work with.
