Yantra Packs raises Rs 12 Cr in seed round led by Caret Capital

Yantra Packs has raised Rs 12 crore in seed funding from Caret Capital, giving the reusable-packaging startup fresh capital to expand across India and strengthen its technology. The company is building solutions for businesses that want to reduce their dependence on single-use packaging and improve visibility across industrial supply chains.
Founded in 2020 by Karan Saharan and Vipin Battu, Yantra Packs operates in the asset-pooling and reusable-packaging space. Its model is designed around packaging that can be used repeatedly rather than discarded after one shipment, which can help businesses reduce waste, improve asset utilisation, and lower logistics costs.
The company’s platform, Trakkia, helps enterprises track reusable packaging assets and gain greater visibility into their supply-chain movement. In practical terms, this can help businesses know where their packaging is, how often it is being used, and when it needs to be collected, repaired, or redeployed
That kind of tracking is important because reusable packaging only works efficiently when companies can manage the assets after they leave a warehouse or factory. Without proper visibility, containers and other packaging materials can be lost, left unused, or sent to the wrong location. A technology layer can make the system more organised and improve the return on investment for businesses.
The fresh funding will support Yantra Packs’ expansion across India, improve its technology capabilities, and help the company scale its pool of reusable packaging assets for enterprise customers. The company will need to build both sides of the model: a dependable physical asset network and software that makes those assets easy to manage.
The opportunity is growing as companies face pressure to reduce waste and improve the environmental performance of their supply chains. However, sustainability alone may not be enough to persuade large businesses to change established processes. Reusable packaging must also be reliable, affordable, durable, and convenient to use. Yantra Packs’ focus on asset tracking and supply-chain visibility could help address those practical concerns.
The round also follows earlier support from Impact Infracap and other investors. Impact Infracap has described Yantra Packs as an asset-pooling platform helping industrial supply chains move toward reusable packaging while reducing logistics costs and transit losses.
For Yantra Packs, the Rs 12 crore raise provides room to expand while continuing to improve its operating model. The company’s next challenge will be proving that reusable packaging can work at scale across complex industrial networks. If it succeeds, Yantra Packs could help businesses reduce waste while making their supply chains more efficient and easier to manage.
