Polygon Labs appoints Marc Boiron as CEO, President Ryan Wyatt transitions to advisory role

Polygon Labs, a leading blockchain technology company, has announced significant leadership changes as it enters the next phase of its corporate development, known as Polygon 2.0. Marc Boiron, the current Chief Legal Officer (CLO) of Polygon Labs, has been promoted to the role of CEO. At the same time, President Ryan Wyatt will be transitioning into an advisory position, effective at the end of this month.

In a tweet, Marc Boiron expressed his excitement about his new role, stating, “Proud to start as CEO role at @0xPolygonLabs, reporting to the founders & leaning into our stellar eng roots. It’s a privilege to serve the community & company as the Polygon 2.0 era begins!” Boiron will be working closely with Co-founder Sandeep Nailwal to drive the company’s vision forward.

Ryan Wyatt, in his tweet, confirmed his support for the leadership transition, stating, “For me, I’ll be advising Polygon, investing, & staying in the industry! More to come later.” His expertise and experience will continue to contribute to the success of Polygon in his advisory capacity.

Additionally, Rebecca Rettig, who joined Polygon in February as the Chief Policy Officer, will take on the additional role of Chief Legal Officer (CLO). Rettig expressed her enthusiasm for the new responsibilities, stating, “It’s a true privilege to be able to lead & work with the incredibly talented legal team here while continuing the critically important policy work we have been doing.”

These management changes align with Polygon’s ongoing rebranding efforts and the introduction of Polygon 2.0. The company’s engineering teams recently shared a proposed architecture for Polygon 2.0, positioning it as an elastically scalable and unified environment for accessing value, representing the Value Layer of the Internet.
