India Wins 1 Gold, 2 Silvers And 1 Bronze At Tokyo 2020 Paralympics


After a stunning performance at Tokyo 2020 Olympics, India. is going strong at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. Avani Lekhara, a 19 year old teenager, bagged a Gold today at Women’s 10 M Air Standing SH1 Final. Her total score was 249.6. She became the first Indian Woman to win a Foal at Paralympics, in fact this is the first medal for India at shooting in Paralympics. She has taken her inspiration from Abhinav Bindra, another gold winner at Olympics. In 2012, she suffered a near fatal accident in her spinal cord, but that didn’t stop her from following her dreams.

In other news, Bhavina Patel won a  silver in table tennis and then Nishad Kumar capped the day with a historic silver in High Jump – T47 Final , and finally, at the end of the day, Vinod Kumar won a bronze medal in the Men’s discus Throw – F52 Final. India is in for a dream run at Paralympics,as the citizens are keeping their fingers crossed.
