Tvasta raises Rs. 3 Cr from Habitat Humanity International
NPO Habitat Humanity International recently invested Rs. 3 crore in Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions Ltd. to increase the supply of easily accessible 3D printed homes in India. The startup also received investments from Hestia Partners and Capnetic Investments.
“The pandemic has only exacerbated the affordable housing crisis, with rising demand as well as material costs. Through the Shelter Venture Fund, Habitat is helping ensure that the most promising, disruptive technologies achieve scale, expanding affordable housing markets to reach more low-income families in need of reliable housing,” said Habitat’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation Vice President in Shelter Patrick Kelley.
The Shelter Venture Fund was established by the Terwilliger Center for Innovation in 2017 for the purpose of investing in shelter-focused early stage startups whom conventional venture capital firms would consider too risky to invest in.
The centre has so far invested $3 million in 11 startups.
