Norwest leads $12.5 Mn Series A round in AI lending-tech platform Rezolv

Rezolv has raised $12.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Norwest, with participation from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India and existing investor 3one4 Capital. The Mumbai-based startup plans to use the capital to expand its AI capabilities and build a broader technology platform for lenders.

Founded by former Kissht executives Karan Mehta and Sonali Jindal, Rezolv is building software for banks, non-banking financial companies, and the fintech firms. Its platform is designed to automate several parts of the lending cycle, including customer engagement, risk assessment, underwriting, loan servicing, collections, recoveries, and field operations.

The company started with a focus on debt resolution and collections, an area that has traditionally involved large teams, fragmented systems, and a significant amount of manual work. By bringing data, workflows, and analytics into one platform, Rezolv aims to help lenders make faster decisions and improve the way they manage borrowers throughout the credit journey.

With the new funding, Rezolv plans to move beyond collections and strengthen its presence across broader credit services. The company is expected to invest in artificial intelligence, product development, and deeper integrations with financial institutions. Its larger ambition is to create what it describes as an AI-native operating system for lenders.

That ambition reflects a wider shift in financial services. Banks and NBFCs are looking for ways to use AI to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs, and make lending more responsive. However, financial technology companies also need to handle sensitive data carefully and meet strict compliance requirements. For Rezolv, the challenge will be to show that automation can improve performance without compromising transparency, customer treatment, or regulatory discipline.

The funding round is also notable because it marks a sharp increase in the company’s valuation. Rezolv had previously raised $3.5 million in seed funding from 3one4 Capital, and reports say its valuation has risen roughly fourfold since that round. The company has also reached an annualised revenue run rate of about Rs 30 crore, according to its founders.

For Rezolv, this Series A round provides more than a financial runway. It gives the startup the opportunity to broaden its product, strengthen its technology, and work with more lenders. If it can turn its AI tools into reliable systems that financial institutions can trust, Rezolv could become an important part of the next generation of lending infrastructure.
