However, due to parental pressure for a conventional career path, he had to shut down this startup after just one year.

The inception of PUDI stems from a visionary idea – to provide a comprehensive solution for shelf life extension products, specifically designed to increase the shelf life of fruits and prevent spoilage during exports. Naman realised that there was a significant gap in the market for such products, and he was determined to bridge it.

The need for PUDI became apparent when customers faced challenges in procuring packaging products. They had to navigate the complexities of discovering new vendors, onboarding them, placing orders, following up on dispatches, and making payments to multiple vendors. This cumbersome process led Naman to identify a unique opportunity.

PUDI started its journey by manufacturing Primary and Secondary packaging products a vital component in extending the shelf life of fruits. Over time, it expanded its offerings to address the broader packaging needs of the agriculture industry. By providing a single-window solution for packaging products, PUDI eliminated the need for customers to engage with multiple vendors.

The company’s primary focus is on serving banana exporters, with 95% of exporters relying on its products and services. Now, PUDI is set to address the packaging needs of other fruit exporters as well.

When asked about competitors, Naman confidently states that there is no competition unless product quality or services are compromised. PUDI’s commitment to quality and innovation keeps it ahead of the curve.

PUDI’s current investment stands at Rs 10,00,000, and there are no immediate plans to raise additional funds. The company’s robust cash flow and EBITDA of over 25% demonstrate its financial stability.
