Innovative Board Games for Brighter and Happier Futures
Yuka Champs‘ board games are made after years of research and conceptualization, and the company has launched multiple unique games, such as Green day, Tik Tok Tick, and Matharon. Their games offer a unique blend of fun and learning, challenging children’s minds in a positive way. Ritika’s goal is to make sure every child has the opportunity to play and grow with Yuka Champs’ innovative board games.
In an exclusive interview with Startup Story, Ritika explained her passion for creating games that offer children more than just entertainment: “I am a firm believer in the power of play. It is an excellent way for children to learn, grow, and develop essential life skills. I wanted to create games that are not only fun to play but also contribute positively to a child’s overall development.”
Expanding Across India and Beyond
Yuka Champs initially launched their games on popular e-commerce platforms such as Amazon. As the brand gained traction, they expanded to other online marketplaces and acquired the ISI quality standard for all their games, enabling them to venture into the offline market. Currently, the company has distributors across India who supply their games to more than 300 retail stores, including modern retail stores such as Crossword and Latt Liv. They have also recently begun exporting their games to the USA through Amazon.com, and many international schools use their games as a learning tool.
Ritika’s team works with her at the Yuka Champs office, including a graphic designer, a salesperson who oversees their distribution network, and a production person who ensures that every game box is perfect. During the packing phase, they employ around 4-6 ladies. The company’s success is a testament to Ritika’s determination and her team’s hard work.
In our exclusive interview with Ritika, she explained how her family provided support throughout the process: “Living in a joint family made it easier for me to comprehend a child’s needs and play-test our new developments. My family has been incredibly supportive of my entrepreneurial journey.”
Recognition and Awards
Ritika Agarwal, the founder of Yuka Champs, holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Finance and has experience managing an on-campus business called “Game Space” during her studies. She is also a certified financial planner, a gold medalist in Mathematics and corporate accounting, and a state-level roller hockey player.
In recognition of her achievements, she was recognized as a women entrepreneur in the field of learning and education and received an award from Mr. KTR during the 2023 Hyderabad Business Awards (FICCI FLO). This award is a testament to her hard work and dedication to creating innovative board games that positively impact children’s lives.
