Gallabox – A SaaS startup provides businesses with the right tools to make every customer conversation more meaningful

From confreres to co-founders of Gallabox

At Sulekha.com, three colleagues became good friends, Karthik Jagannathan, Yathindhar Panchanathan, and Yogesh Narayanan. After years of service, they felt compelled to start their own business owing to the abundance of industry knowledge they each acquired along the way, this planted the seed that soon grew into fruition. This dynamic trio soon founded Gallabox – a collaborative communication tool for SMBs the world over. 

Karthik Jagannathan has over 20 years of expertise in marketing, sales, product development, and general management, as well as 15 years of cross-functional experience in telecommunications and internet firms, with an emphasis on small and medium-sized businesses. Yogesh Narayanan, on the other hand, has over 13 years of solid hands-on expertise in complete life-cycle software development, with a focus on building consumer-facing, highly scalable software solutions. Yathindhar Panchanathan, on the other hand, has more than 15 years of experience in business modeling, analytics, delivery operations, product and project management, and customer retention/success.

They expressed their feelings about their connection in an exclusive interview with The Startup Story “We’ve been working together for years and years. We have a fantastic working connection. We’re not only colleagues; we’re also good friends.”

A new SaaS in the Market

The name Gallabox is emanated from the cash register that every business aims to fill with their soaring growth. Gallabox was created with the goal of helping SMBs manage their customer conversations more effectively. It was evident that there was no single, unified platform or workplace where SMBs could work and manage their inbound prospects and existing client engagements. And that’s how gallabox was born. 

Gallabox is a collaborative platform that debuted in the market during the epidemic’s peak in 2021. The platform allows businesses to answer to customers instantaneously using WhatsApp’s chatbot and broadcast offerings within a no-code workspace that can easily integrate with your databases. Gallabox gives you the right tools your business needs to increase the quality of your client encounters by providing you with user-friendly communication tools. Gallabox is a conversational workspace that lets your team turn their customer conversations into smart actions by unlocking the power of WhatsApp into a single, collaborative dashboard. Meanwhile, in January 2022, the company was incorporated as a subsidiary in the United States.

In an exclusive interview with the startup story, the trio mentioned that “ Gallabox was not the idea of a single individual. The manner we came up with the Laddering method. We began by establishing a landscape of SMBs, determining what their issues would be, and examining the realities that their customers facing systems required overall. We also explored a variety of ideas, but we were certain that we wanted to establish a dialogue platform before moving on to something more sophisticated. And the main reason we chose gallabox as a startup is that it was established on WhatsApp in its current incarnation.”

Gallabox may be comparable or unique in the market, but its “Chatbot feature” is the most innovative feature for a startup. The trio claims that “Our chatbot feature is unique, user-friendly, and sophisticated. We may be similar and dissimilar in the market, but we have an urge to innovate things in better ways.”

Teamwork makes the dream work

The company has organized the team primarily along two lines: first, a build team, and second, a distribution team. Gallabox is so close to its clients that the build team focuses on a product analysis, design, and feature updates, while the sales team collaborates with the distribution team to focus on growth marketing, outreach, and handling daily customer feedback and requirements, activation, and client onboarding. Everyone bears shared responsibility for their respective obligations, and the organization is kept as flat as feasible. The startup isn’t concerned with the reporting structure. Gallabox maintains an environment in which everyone can contribute, where anyone can come and take responsibility for the challenges and opportunities that they are targeting.

Karthik explained the work atmosphere and ethos gallabox follows in an exclusive conversation with the startup story. – “We put forth a lot of effort both at work and at play. We all play badminton, and we have a badminton court right next to our office, therefore we organize the ‘GSL – The Gallabox Shuttlers League’ at the end of every month. We all go out for beer and biryani after the tournament. We have a great set of people that we have put together.” –

Currently, the company is empowering over 400+ businesses and has an MRR of $15,000. The startup is soon looking to acquire a thousand customers in the next three to four months. The company is also in the process of raising its second round of seed funding. The company is actively concentrating on expanding its presence in India and further into the international market.
