Meesho posts a 68% increase in holiday sales with 3.34 crore orders

The value of orders placed on the platform of the e-commerce company Meesho increased by 68% to $3.34 crore throughout its five-day festive sale from September 23 to 27.

The annual festive discounts of other e-commerce firms Amazon, Flipkart, and JioMart started on September 23. This is similar to Meesho’s Mega Blockbuster Sale. Amazon and JioMart want to run the promotions for around a month, while Flipkart’s sale will conclude on September 30.

In the first few hours of the holiday sale, cellphones and major electronics, according to Amazon and Flipkart, were the most popular items. For Meesho, however, the best-selling categories were clothing, accessories for electronics, home and kitchen, and cosmetics and personal care. Sarees, Bluetooth headphones, dupattas, lipsticks, mangalsutras, smart watches, fake plants, and juicers were among the products that sold in record volume, the company said.
