Flipkart Ventures Invites Applications for Third ‘Flipkart Leap Ahead’ Cohort

Flipkart’s investing arm, Flipkart Ventures, has announced the commencement of applications for the third cohort of its renowned accelerator program, ‘Flipkart Leap Ahead’ (FLA). This initiative aims to foster innovation and nurture entrepreneurship among early-stage Indian tech startups. Applications for the program will be open from April 22 through May 26, 2024.

Lubna Ahmed, Head of Flipkart Ventures, expressed the company’s commitment to empowering budding entrepreneurs:

The accelerator program offers selected startups equity investments ranging from $200,000 to $500,000, alongside mentorship aimed at achieving product-market fit, building scalable architecture, and assembling strong teams. Startups leveraging GenAI in their core solutions across sectors are particularly encouraged to apply.

Upon receiving investment, the selected startups will participate in a two-month mentorship program, where industry veterans, operators, and founders will guide them towards hyper-growth. The program culminates in a demo day, where startups showcase their progress and plans to potential investors to secure additional funding for their expansion.

The ‘Flipkart Leap Ahead’ program has already facilitated the successful funding of over 15 startups across sectors such as deep tech, fintech, health tech, generative AI, and sustainability in its previous two cohorts. Startups like RightBot, Tune.ai, LivWell, FlexifyMe, Dopplr, and others have received further investments, highlighting the program’s efficacy in accelerating growth journeys.

Ahmed further elaborated on the program’s impact:
