Venture Catalysts Leads Pre-Seed Funding Round for Perceptyne


Venture Catalysts, a pioneering integrated incubator and early-stage investment leader, has spearheaded a pre-seed funding round for Perceptyne, a groundbreaking deep-tech AI and robotics start-up poised to transform industries with its innovative humanoid robots.

Joining Venture Catalysts in this funding initiative were distinguished personalities from the deeptech hardware start-up community, including Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain of Ather, along with Pawan Chandana and Bharat Daka of Skyroot Aerospace. Notable investors also include T-Hub, Z21 Ventures, Naveen (founder of My Ally), Satya (founder of Bluecopa), and Aditya Damani (founder of Credit Fair).

Perceptyne specializes in developing AI-driven robots capable of human-like dexterity for tasks like product assembly, e-commerce packaging, and commercial kitchen operations—areas where traditional robotics often fall short.

According to the company, Perceptyne’s humanoid robots feature dual arms with seven degrees of freedom each and five-fingered end effectors, incorporating tactile sensing and force feedback—a pioneering advancement in the field of robotics.

The automation market in India is burgeoning, with the global automation sector valued at $18 billion annually and expanding at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.3 percent. Furthermore, India’s manufacturing sector is on the brink of exponential growth, catalyzed by strategies like the China+1 initiative and government schemes such as Production-Linked Incentives (PLI). Perceptyne asserts its strategic positioning to address the escalating demand for automation, both domestically and globally.
