Humanly Acquires Three HR-Tech Startups to Build an End-to-End AI Hiring Platform

Seattle-based AI hiring platform Humanly has announced the acquisition of Sprockets, Qualifi, and HourWork, bringing together sourcing, screening, interviewing, and post-hire engagement under a single, unified system.

The move positions Humanly as one of the few HR-tech companies offering a complete, AI-driven recruitment and retention solution for high-volume hiring.

Expanding the AI Hiring Stack

Founded in 2018, Humanly helps companies automate routine hiring tasks such as candidate screening, scheduling, and reference checks. The company’s goal is to make recruitment faster, fairer, and more efficient by ensuring meaningful interaction with every applicant — not just a select few.

According to CEO Prem Kumar, the acquisitions will help address the growing challenge of applicant overload. “Companies are getting flooded with applications, but most candidates never hear back. We’re changing that by bringing automation and engagement together across the full hiring journey,” he said.

What Each Acquisition Brings

  • Sprockets adds stronger sourcing and screening capabilities to identify top talent faster.

  • Qualifi enhances automated voice-based interviews, helping recruiters assess candidates within minutes.

  • HourWork extends Humanly’s platform into post-hire engagement — supporting onboarding, retention, and satisfaction, especially for hourly and frontline roles.

Together, these additions transform Humanly into a holistic hiring and workforce engagement platform.

Growing Scale and Market Reach

Humanly now manages over 600 million candidate profiles and facilitates around 250,000 interviews each month. The platform serves more than 100 enterprise clients, with revenue tripling in 2025.

Its recent product innovation, the AI Interviewer, autonomously conducts and transcribes interviews, helping recruiters engage with significantly larger applicant pools.

The Bigger Picture: The Future of Hiring

Humanly’s expansion reflects a major shift in the global HR-tech landscape:

  • Companies are moving toward end-to-end AI hiring ecosystems.

  • Conversational AI — including chat, video, and voice — is redefining how employers connect with candidates.

  • Employee retention tools are becoming as important as recruitment, especially in high-turnover industries.

  • Consolidation across HR-tech is accelerating, as leading players acquire specialized startups to offer comprehensive solutions.

What’s Next

With these acquisitions, Humanly is betting on a future where AI helps recruiters focus more on people and less on process. While profitability may take time, the company’s rapid growth and expanding capabilities point to strong momentum.

If successfully integrated, Humanly’s platform could emerge as one of the most complete AI-powered hiring solutions, bridging the gap between automation and human connection in recruitment.
