Health-tech platform Lissun raises Rs 48 Cr in Series A led by Colossa Ventures

Lissun has raised Rs 48 crore in a Series A funding round led by Colossa Ventures, marking an important milestone for the health-tech startup. The round also saw participation from Physis Capital, RPSG Capital Ventures, IvyCap Ventures, Rainmatter by Zerodha, Multiply Ventures, SucSEED Ventures, Beyond Capital Ventures, and New Age India Fund.

Founded in 2021 by Krishna Veer Singh and Tarun Gupta, Lissun began as a mental and emotional healthcare platform. Over time, the company chose to focus more closely on child development, an area where many families still struggle to find timely and specialised support.

The company’s child-development business, Sunshine by LISSUN, currently operates 25 centres and delivers more than 10,000 therapy sessions every month. According to co-founder Krishna Veer Singh, the business has grown fourfold over the past year, giving Lissun a strong base from which to expand further.

The fresh capital will help the company open more centres across India, improve its clinical systems, and build technology that can support therapists and parents. Lissun is also working on AI-based tools designed to make care more personalised and efficient. The goal is not to replace therapists, but to help them understand each child’s progress and provide better support over time.

For parents, finding reliable developmental care can be difficult. Children may need help with speech, behaviour, learning, communication, or other developmental challenges, but specialised services are not always available nearby. Even when support is accessible, high costs, long waiting periods, and limited awareness can make regular therapy difficult for families.

Lissun’s model attempts to address some of these challenges by combining physical centres with technology. The centres provide direct care and allow specialists to work closely with children, while digital tools can help therapists track progress and guide parents between sessions. This combination could make care more organised and easier to access.

The company’s decision to focus on child development also reflects a larger need in India’s healthcare system. Families are becoming more aware of developmental conditions and are seeking professional help earlier, but the supply of trained specialists and quality centres remains limited. A platform that can expand responsibly may be able to reach more families without compromising the standard of care.

For Lissun, the next phase will bring both opportunity and responsibility. Expanding to new cities will require trained professionals, consistent clinical standards, and careful use of technology. The company will also need to make sure that growth does not reduce the personal attention children and families require.

With this Series A funding, Lissun now has the resources to build on its early progress. If it can combine human care with thoughtful technology, it could grow into one of India’s leading child-development platforms and make specialised support available to many more families.
