Inomor innovation lands over $18 million led by shell ventures


Lately, Inomor was named in clean tech group’s 2022 global clean tech 100 list.

Vancouver’s lonomr Innovations has obtained an $ 18.7 % million series A round led by finindus and shell ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Royal Dutch shell.

Other investors that pledged to the financing include chevron Technology Ventures, NGIF clean tech Ventures and pallasite ventures. Revolved out of Simon Fraser university, lonomor was co- founded by Benjamin Britton and Tim Peckham in 2018 with an aim to get along the advancement the development and manufacture of ion- exchange membranes and polymers.

The start ups currently employs 31 people at its research and manufacturing facilities.

Inomor affirms it’s materials can make more feasible, cost competitive solutions for the hydrogen economy and leave out the need for expensive precious metal requirements for hydrogen production, and CO2 electrolysis.

It’s Pemion and Aemion technologies can be capitalised for fuel cells, hydrogen production, carbon utilisation and advanced energy storage.

It’s technology discloses high temperature alkaline electrochemistry which accelerates efficiency and decreases capital costs.

Pemion provides higher performance and lower gas crossover while eliminating environmental concerns of fluorine.

Green hydrogen production, hydrogen fuels cells and efficient carbon utilisation are critical to decreasing emissions in hard to decarbonise heavy industries.

Inomor received a $ 2.35 million grant from the British Columbia innovative clean energy fund in 2018.

Along side another $ 2.35 million grant from sustainable development technology Canada.

Lately, Inomor was awarded with the development grant from Chilean company Molymet as part of the Re- imagine Challenge, a contest for the development of green hydrogen using rhenium.

Among more than 10,000 entrepreneurs Inomor was also named in clean tech group’s list of 100 companies committed to taking action on the climate crisis.
