Caregiving startup Homage has raised $ 30 million in Series C, led by the Sheares Healthcare Group, wholly owned by investment firm Temasek. Other participants included new investors DG Daiwa Ventures and Sagana Capital, and repeaters East Ventures (Growth), HealthXCapital, SeedPlus, Trihill Capital and Alternate Ventures. The new funding will help develop tribute technology, continue to integrate with the infrastructure of caregivers and healthcare providers for the elderly and disabled, and accelerate regional expansion through partnerships with hospitals and healthcare providers. Hommage currently operates in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
The Singapore-based service includes home visits by caregivers, nurses, therapists and doctors. Telemedicine; and services for chronic illness. One of the reasons for the Homage platform Scale up is that matching engine helps clients, such as the elderly and people with chronic illnesses, find the provider that best suits their needs. The startup states that the round has been oversubscribed and is one of the largest funds raised to date by on-demand care platforms in Southeast Asia and Oceania. This brings Homage to over $ 45 million. As part of Series C, Khoo EePing, CEO of Sheares Healthcare Group, will join Homage’s board of directors. Hommage currently has a regional network of over 6,000 pre-selected and trained care professionals. Businesses outside of Singapore grew more than 600% year-on-year in 2021, and revenues have more than tripled over the past year.
