Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Applauds Swiggy CEO for Achieving Business Profitability

Competition, an essential element in any industry, motivates companies to push their boundaries to maintain a leading position. Nevertheless, intense competition doesn’t always result in negativity between two companies, as demonstrated on Thursday.

In a tweet, Swiggy’s co-founder and CEO Sriharsha Majety revealed that the online food delivery platform had experienced a profitable period in March 2023, attributing it to the dedicated efforts of different teams within the company.

“Excited that Swiggy turned its food delivery business profitable in March’23, while creating value for all our partners. Our teams have worked tirelessly to build long term value putting customers first each day,” Majety wrote. Zomato’s founder and CEO, Deepinder Goyal, took to Twitter to extend his congratulations and commend the efforts of the teams involved, stating, “Congratulations! Well executed.”

In celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday, Goyal posted a tweet stating that their platform was receiving orders for 150 cakes per minute, drawing a comparison to the order volumes experienced on New Year’s Eve.
