VAMA, a virtual spiritual platform, has raised $750K in a seed round of funding

Huddle and 7Square Ventures co-led a $750k seed investment for the virtual spiritual platform VAMA. Among them are Kunal Shah, the founder of CRED, and Varun Alagh.

The funds will be used to improve product development, introduce additional service verticals to the app, and hire new personnel. The firm has now raised a total of $1 million in funding with this current round.

VAMA is a one-stop virtual portal that provides easy access to e-pujas, e-darshans, and astrology services to devotees from around India and the world. It was founded in late 2020 by Manu Jain, Himanshu Semwal, and Acharya Dev.

The application, which is currently only available for Android devices, provides virtual puja remedies in prominent temples across the country and has already facilitated over 50,000 online consultations. It also intends to provide live-streaming of ‘darshan’ and ‘aartis,’ as well as the ability for users to donate to temples online.

This year, the company hopes to expand its services by cooperating with over 100 temples and entering overseas areas such as the Middle East, the United States, and Canada.
