Funding Alert

B2B platform ApnaKlub raises $10M from Tiger Global

Tiger Global has invested $10 million in ApnaKlub, a wholesale e-commerce marketplace located in Bengaluru. The money will be used to construct credit products, grow the marketplace from 5,000 to 20,000 partners, and enhance infrastructure in important states, according to the business. In August 2021, the firm received $4 million in fundraising from Flourish Ventures, Sequoia India’s Surge, Whiteboard Capital and Blume Ventures.

ApnaKlub, founded by Manish Kumar and Shruti in 2020, allows vendors and Kirana stores to buy goods at wholesale prices even if they don’t meet the minimum order requirements set by distributors. Kirana stores are frequently constrained by working capital, making it difficult to buy goods at optimal prices.

The company supplies these retailers with a wide choice of wholesale items with zero minimum order requirement.

“ApnaKlub helps traders and retailers in various Indian cities collaborate and grow into a vibrant retailing company offering greater consumer choice and joy by providing access to a wider assortment of items at similar margins and with better credit service and supply chain management than the status quo,” said Shruti, co-founder, and CEO of ApnaKlub.

ApnaKlub lets anybody with a phone and a desire to be self-employed increase their income by a larger chunk and deliver FMCG items to local retail establishments.
