This fuel-to-door startup funded by Ratan Tata has won the National Startup Award 2022


At the 6-day Startup Innovation Week in Pune, Pune-based Repos received the National Startup Award 2021.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade hosted the first-ever Startup India Innovation Week, which took place from January 10 to 16. (DPIIT).

Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, presented the award to the Pune-based startup in the Energy distribution category. Ministers of State (MoS) for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash and Anupriya Patel also attended the ceremony.

The invited startups were divided into six groups, each with two founders, who gave presentations to the PM on the following topics: Growing from Roots; Nudging the DNA; From Local to Global; Technology of the Future; Manufacturing Champions; and Sustainable Development.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas recognised Repos for their fuel delivery service from door to door. “I am pleased to see a leading Indian company putting together a platform like the Energy Start-Up Summit for Indian companies to engage and deliberate on building the future,” said Dharmendra Pradhan, (Minister) Petroleum & Natural Gas, Steel, Government of India, New Delhi.

“We started 4 years ago just with a dream to serve the Nation and the World,” Aditi Bhosale Walunj and Chetan Walunj, Repos’ founders, said. We have done and continue to do whatever is required of us, including learning new skills. This decade belongs to India, and we, as entrepreneurs, have the ability to transform India into a superpower. This award has given us the assurance that we can become a stronger “backbone” for the new India. Winning the National Startup Award 2021 and meeting India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a proud moment for the entire Repos team.”
