SUN Mobility joins up with cKers Finance to boost MaaS for last-mile delivery decarbonisation

Sun Mobility has received a debt financing facility from cKers Finance, an NBFC focused on financing sustainability and clean energy in India, to help accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles equipped with SUN Mobility’s swappable batteries as part of the company’s MaaS (Mobility-as-a-Service) model.

SUN Mobility has already begun deploying hundreds of high-capacity Piaggio Ape e-Xtra electric three-wheelers with third-party logistics (3PL) service providers as part of the cooperation.

Customers just pay a monthly rental fee for the car, which includes unlimited battery swaps that increase the vehicle’s range and running hours. Using SUN Mobility’s service, fleet operators may grow their company without adding assets.

Ecommerce firms are driving demand for last-mile delivery decarbonization by electing to replace their existing fossil fuel-based last-mile delivery fleets with EVs, with a goal of deploying over 50,000 EVs in the next three years.
