 Founder’s Journey

Digvijay Pandey, the founder of Cartzfresh, began his career in 2006. He started his first professional journey at Maruti as Sales Consultant in 2007 and stayed there for seven years. He then worked with Mercedes-Benz until 2020 and while stepping out he was Heading Corporate Sales Business.

Digvijay founded Cartz Fresh during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Cartz Fresh sells ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat range of fruits and vegetables, so one doesn’t have to worry about what kind of fruit or vegetable to buy that day.

 About Cartz Fresh

Cartzfresh.com started as a sincere effort to meet the needs of urban customers during difficult times such as Covid-19. With this online portal, they hope to bridge the gap between vegetable farmers and customers while requiring as little contact as possible. They aim to be India’s most trusted brand of fruits and vegetables, as well as a strong support system for vegetable farmers and consumers through their direct forms to fresh model. They guarantee on time delivery and best quality products.

 Covid Implication

Because Cartzfresh was founded during the Covid-19 pandemic, it had to deal with numerous consequences caused by the deadly virus. Since people were cut off from the outside world, they turned to online modes to stay fit and healthy, which is where Cartzfresh came in. The company promised to provide properly sanitized and packaged door-to-door services of fresh fruits and vegetables directly from farmers to consumers. This resulted in less food product handling while adhering to the protocols established by the Central and State Governments regarding Covid-19.

Digvijay recalled the incredible support Cartzfresh received from its customers during the Covid-19 Pandemic during the interview.

Subscription & Membership

Cartzfresh provides a subscription and membership plan in which consumers can schedule their orders and the company will deliver the desired food package at the time of day of their choosing. This will benefit those who work primarily from home and frequently have to sacrifice their health in the long run.

 Current Location

As a young startup they are currently operating in Mumbai. Through various modes of distribution, their range of products available across the city limits i.e. Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai & Panvel  

 Growth Strategy

Mr. Pandey asserted that in the next three years he wants to expand their business outside Mumbai.  As of now, they are placed in quick ecommerce platform like Zepto & Dunzo and Offline Supermarkets like Tata’s Star Bazaar along with 25+ retail stores. By the next three years Pandey is sure that they’ll have more than 1000 stores in Mumbai itself. Apart from this, they’re looking to expand their venture in Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Their current year revenue is around 1.5 Crore, they’re looking to have around 10 Crore in next 2023-24.
