ShipEase believes in an open door policy where anyone can reach out to you and there is no bossy culture across the teams and gives freedom to perform. They tell you what to do but will not tell you how to do it.
The establishment of ShipEase
The entrepreneurship journey starts from their Delhivery days. They have been part of the initial team of Delhivery and have encountered everything from grass root level and were cracking a challenging market. And that drives them to start their start-up.
Now after a decade, the logistics industry has evolved drastically, so as the challenges, and led to a different set of problems in the digital commerce ecosystem if one wants to be ahead in the race then they need advanced level data analytics, smart order management tools, optimum utilization of inventory, single-screen view of multiple web stores along with world-class shipping experience to forecast the market trend and fulfill the demand.
In Pawan’s opinion, it was a very soft launch since they had limited funds to market their products and get it into the audience’s perseverance. The firm was getting all the business through reference and their direct client reach. Gradually, they started marketing themselves and succeeded in grabbing the audience’s attention.
Currently, they have 1k+ active clients on their panel and doing more10k+ shipments daily.
The reach of ShipEase and their services
In their corporate journey, they got the chance to work in different business clusters in tier 2 and 3 markets and met with thousands of SME business owners, and discussed their day-in and day-out problems to manage the scale of the business, from there they got the problem statement and started brainstorming around it. They have incorporated in Nov’2020 and launched their services in the market in Apr’2021.
ShipEase is aggregating logistics for multiple virtual shops and providing a seamless shipping experience through multiple courier partners under a single umbrella with advanced data analytics through AI and ML.
ShipEase raised funds from Getventage
The company has raised funds from Getvantage. Founder mentioned that the recent fund raise will be utilized in strengthening their technology, marketing & taking ShipEase to greater heights.
Impact of COVID-19 on the operations of ShipEase
Consumer buying behavior has changed due to Covid and now the majority of the demand shifted to virtual buying. Since ShipEase is operating in the digital commerce space hence it gets a lot of opportunities for them to robust their solutions and scales up the business.
Their Competitors are ShipBob and Shiprocket. It’s a very vast market that can accommodate multiple players. Now it’s not like “For you to win, someone has to lose. We all are learning from each other. There are certain things where we are doing good and so as with our competitors. We all are learning from each other and getting the best experience for the clients.” Pawan Kumar stated.
Plans for expansion and further funding
Its expansion plan is to expand its wings in tier 2 and 3 markets and support SME Entrepreneurs across the globe and help them build their businesses in the digital commerce space. They want to focus on growing Pan-India and then throughout the world(globalization).
Recently, they raised the funds from a very reputed SaaS investor, Getvantage. They have enough cash reserves in their bank. They are going to use the fund to strengthen the functions and build a world-class organization.
Their churning ratio is less than 5% which is exceptionally low as compared to their competitors, which itself shows the trust of sellers in the brand ShipEase.
