“ To Carebyte promoting good health is a general right. It’s not only about being a money-making enterprise. What matters to us is the number of lives we can touch and influence toward a positive and healthy lifestyle.”  Sandeep Bansal, Co-founder of Carebyte in an exclusive interview with Startup Story.

Dr. Sandeep Bansal, the co-founder of Carebyte, earned his medical degree from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India. As he was raised in the United Kingdom, he wanted to learn more about the Indian government’s healthcare system, so he joined the Hindu Rao Government Hospital in Delhi. For him, working there was a humbling experience.

After that, he returned to the NHS and completed a five-year residency in clinical medicine, following which he completed a master’s degree in pediatrics at Oxford. He also completed family medicine training at Oxford. During that journey, he assisted in the development of a family business, a part of which was causing communication problems in the NHS, which has partnered with British Telecom and Samsung. The real challenge that he faced more globally was to make excellent people in the world live with chronic diseases such as diabetes and hereditary cancer, and while most of these are available, India alone is expected to have another hundred million diabetics in the next 9 to 10 years.

And when it comes to treatment, we have complete treatment modalities- insulin we have great it happens from complications of diabetes, methodology used to manage Kidney Disease, and Medical Science has come a long way, but the question is why are we going to have another hundred million diabetics in India in the next 9 to 10 years? Why did this happen, and how can we make things better?

Dr. Bansal said in an exclusive interview with The Startup Story, “The Indian healthcare system is just kicking off, and not only the health care system but also health insurance is not mature at all. Another problem that we see in the Indian Healthcare system is that only 15% of the Indian population has any Health Insurance, which means that 55 million people will go into poverty every year because of not being able to pay out-of-pocket expenditure on health care. Of course, we saw a lot of that during Coverage when I saw some of the hospital’s bills that came out due to racial profiling. As a result, I believe that increasing the prevalence of health insurance is important to ensure that we can deliver the next generation of healthcare to individuals.”

According to him, the mature perspective of the Indian health care market is just getting started, and combining not only Health Care System but also HealthCare Insurance is just begun, and it’s not a very proactive strategy at all.

The scale of the Indian healthcare industry!

The key balancing factors for the Indian industry, particularly insurance and getting insurance type coverage across individuals and those payment mechanisms will become a lot easier for getting cashless support of OPD cashless inpatient insurance at the moment how they are marked to the consumer at the movement most of the 15 that are ensured is through their employer that covers employee benefit. We can observe that millennials are significantly more proactive when it comes to their healthcare.

Challenges that are being faced!

Consumers nowadays face a number of challenges, one of which is gaining knowledge. Understanding people’s health care and well-being are one of the primary issues that consumers face, and a lot of societal education surrounding this industry is required. These are some of the problems, and the other challenges are behavioral changes, which take a long time to manifest.

The step that carebyte is taking to eradicate these challenges

Consumer issues are addresses by Carebyte. Consumers are simply asked to purchase a subscription plan that gives them access to specialized treatment as well as fitness instructors, nutritionists, and clinical psychologists all in one place. Carebyte provides a single answer to all difficulties, allowing customers to spend less time hunting for doctors for numerous problems and more time thinking about their health.

Carebyte has a unique process that underpins everything the brand does. Dr. Bansal told us in the exclusive interview with The Startup Story, “If you think of us as a subscription service, the more the user ends up utilizing our doctors and our teams, the less money we get from the user.  Consumers should not need to see our doctors, specialists, or clinicians, according to our incentive. So the only way we’ll be able to do that and be in business is if the process we as a team underpin on those behavioral shifts and people slowly trudging toward making the better choices in their lifestyle.”

Caretaker Akka Carebytes’ strategic plans!

When it comes to putting the corporation’s three-year strategy into action, the company has a few options. The first is for people who want to use their services and become paying members of carebyte. Another model is the free model, in which users still can get free education, free nutrition tips and healthy eating videos, and free goods in the app. The company may be intending to implement some type of gamification in their platform, in which users will be rewarded for being healthy, and all of this would be provided for free.
