Mind Your Soul, An Initiative To Promote Employee Wellness And Development


“Mind Your Soul is a lively, feel-good session. If one is looking forward to leveling up or improving themselves or want to take their career life to a next step then Mind Your Soul session is meant for them. It’s a beginner friendly workshop to start off with. I encourage people to come forward and join this session to get a new way of seeing things,” said Indraneela Padmini, Organizer, Mind Your Soul in an informative interview with Startup Story.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, working from home may have seemed like a perk that freelancers got to do – not everyone. However, ever since the pandemic hit and work from home has become a new normal. Our work-life balance has been completely disrupted. Our work timings might be 9-to-5 but still inadvertently we’re forced to work even after working hours. We’re given extra work. Sometimes, office meetings are held after working hours assuming that the employees are at home, they can attend such meetings. Off lately it all has led to stress issues, depression, anxiety, and demotivation of doing the work.

 What Is Mind Your Soul?

Mind Your Soul is an overall employee wellness and development workshop organized by Indraneela Padmini, Raksha Sharma, Hima Varshini and Uday Kumar. The seminar is aimed at educating and promoting healthy work life balance. “The program has been designed with a very human centric approach that has been designed in a way to promote employee wellness for Co-working spaces and Startups; where you will get a chance to explore yourself. You’ll be able to get to know more about your inner self. It’ll help one in unleashing their best potential; their capabilities of doing beyond the horizon,” said Indraneela.

Indraneela, an enthusiastic, passionate and confident person in real life. She has completed her graduation in aeronautical engineering from JNTUH. Eventually, she shifted her career into software, digital marketing, and Front-End Web Development. Currently Indraneela is working as a Digital Marketing and Recruitment Specialist. Earlier also she has conducted various successful wellness workshops within her organization.

 Overview Of Workshop

The workshop has 6 sessions in total. First session will be more about introducing yourself. It’ll help you in introspecting about oneself, who you’re and what you are good at. Followed by the second session, ‘this session is a path of light to discover your best self.’ Third session is for mind mapping, once you have found yourself & purpose. Now the time is to set goals to accomplish those parameters set by you.

In the fourth session, you’ll be able to learn about the art of losing. Losing isn’t always bad. It has its pros also. Fifth session will help you in making a strong LinkedIn profile and let you understand how to leverage LinkedIn for Career Growth and Upskill. Finally, on Grad Day, you’ll be felicitated by a certificate on successful completion of the session. After registering into the session, there will be a selection process. Only serious candidates who really want to bring a change in themselves will be selected by the team. Once they get selected, candidates have to pay only Rs.51.

 What Makes The Workshop Unique?

Speaking with Startup Story, Indraneela said that the workshop majorly has peer interaction within the calls. They are going to ask reflective questions to the participants. And depending upon the answers they are going to put them into different breakout rooms. That will eventually lead participants in meeting with new people; helping them in exploring themselves. Every workshop has a post session challenge where the participants will get the opportunity to jot down or understand what they’ve learnt. Depending upon this challenge Mind Your Soul team will be providing some brownie points to the participants. It is basically to motivate them. Moreover, they have a graduation day at last, winners will be declared that day and they’ll be given certificates depending upon their performance. Most importantly, there’ll be breathing and guided meditation at the end of every session for 10 minutes. The meditation will enable you to reduce stress, making you calmer and patient. Along with that it does help in improving oxygen level with its guided meditation techniques.

“This workshop will boost participants’ morale, increase their confidence. Furthermore, it’ll make them realize they don’t have to be hard on themselves. They can tackle this, whatever is happening with them no matter how hard life is,” said Indraneela.
