Pet care super app Wagr raises Rs 4.2 Cr led by Inflection Point Ventures


Super app for pet care Wagr has secured Rs 4.2 crore in a new round led by Inflection Point Ventures, with IvyCap Ventures also participating. Stanford Angels and Ashish Sharma also took part in the round (MD, Innoven Capital).

The cash will be used to extend the range of pet products available on their e-commerce site, as well as enhance the extent of vet consultations and healthcare services offered to India’s furry friends. The company will also grow its personnel and increase its client acquisition activities.

Wagr, founded by Siddharth Darbha and Advaith Mohan in 2016, offers veterinary video consultations in 15 minutes, an e-commerce store for pet products such as food, treats, grooming, and accessories, a pet care guide, a pet parent community, and a location and fitness tracker for dogs, among other things.

Wagr is available as a mobile app and a website. It currently has over 15,000 users and has facilitated over 3,500 veterinarian teleconsultations.

Over 10,000 downloads have been recorded by Wagr. The company was also one of the winners of Qualcomm’s Design in India competition. It will represent India at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2020, where it will host the first-ever India Tech Park. Also, The company won multiple awards for its launch of dog GPS and fitness tracker.
