ONDC’s Transaction Volume Spikes to 4.7 Million, Says Managing Director

The impact of ONDC, the State-run Open Network Digital Commerce, in revolutionizing India’s e-commerce landscape through its seamless connection of businesses, clients, and consumers is evident in the remarkable surge of transaction volumes.

Managing Director Thampy Koshy revealed that from January to November, the transactions have escalated sharply from 1,200 to 4.7 million.

Koshy highlighted the platform’s daily influence, noting that 100,000 cab rides occur through ONDC each day across four cities: Bengaluru, Mysore, Cochin, and Kolkata.

He emphasized during an interview that ONDC offers a hassle-free registration process for sellers, enabling them to effortlessly upload their product catalog for free—an advantage not typically available with other major e-commerce players.
