Funding Alert Press Release

NeoGeo raises $20 Mn Series A led by Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital

NeoGeo has raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Neev II Fund and Aavishkaar Capital, giving the geospatial intelligence startup the capital it needs to expand internationally and build more scalable software products. The company plans to strengthen its India business while entering markets across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and the Americas

Founded in 2019 by Sreeramam GV and Brahmam Gorugantu, NeoGeo provides mapping and location-intelligence solutions to governments and businesses. Its work covers areas such as urban governance, infrastructure, utilities, natural-resource management, disaster response, and smart-city planning.

The company collects information through satellite imagery, LiDAR, drones, and ground surveys, then uses artificial intelligence to analyse that data. In simple terms, NeoGeo helps organisations understand what is happening on the ground and make better decisions using detailed location-based information.

That capability is becoming increasingly useful as governments and companies manage larger infrastructure networks, changing urban environments, and limited natural resources. Accurate maps and real-time geographic data can help with planning roads, monitoring utilities, tracking land use, responding to disasters, and managing development more effectively.

NeoGeo has already completed more than 200 projects, mapped over five lakh square kilometres, and managed more than 550 satellite-positioning reference stations. These figures show that the company has built meaningful operational experience before raising its Series A round.

The new funding will be divided across several priorities. NeoGeo plans to invest in research and development, launch new products, hire more employees, expand its international presence, and develop software platforms that can serve customers at a larger scale

This shift is particularly important because the company has historically operated largely as a systems integrator, working on specific projects for individual clients. Moving toward scalable software products could help NeoGeo serve more customers without depending entirely on customised assignments.

The round was co-led by Aavishkaar Capital and Neev Fund II, a sustainability-focused fund managed by SBI Ventures. Aavishkaar reportedly contributed around Rs 75 crore, with the remaining amount coming from Neev Fund II.

For NeoGeo, the funding represents more than an expansion plan. It is an opportunity to turn its experience in geospatial services into a larger technology platform. The company’s next challenge will be to adapt its products for international markets while continuing to build trust with governments, infrastructure companies, and other enterprise customers.
