Navi welcomes Meesho CEO Vidit Aatrey as independent Director of its Board

Vidit Aatrey, CEO and Co-Founder of Meesho has been appointed as an individual director on the Board of directors of Sachin Bansal’s fintech business Navi Technologies, effective on April 9, 2022, pending the fulfilment of procedures.

Autrey’s nomination is part of Navi’s continuous efforts to improve the Board of Directors. It recently appointed three additional independent directors: Abhijit Bose, WhatsApp’s Head of India; Shripad Shrikrishna Nadkarni, a Maverix Platforms member; Usha A Narayanan is a director of Navi Groups and also for other group companies such as Navi Finserv and Navi General Insurance and has moreover over twenty years of experience in auditing with Lovelock & Lewes CA’s.

With Aatrey’s nomination, Navi’s Board of Directors, which already has 7 members, will have a majority of independent directors. Sachin Bansal, Navi’s Promoter and Co-Founder; Ankit Agarwal, Anand Sinha,  and Navi’s CFO are among several Board members. Navi Technologies, founded in 2018, is Sachin Bansal’s second startup after Flipkart. Personal loans, house loan payments, insurance products, and mutual funds are among the financial goods and services it offers. It also provides microfinance loans through Chaitanya India Fin Credit, which it purchased for Rs 739 crore in 2019. The firm filed a DRHP with (SEBI) on March 12, 2022, to raise Rs 3,350 crore from the general public
