Zomato Launches New Corporate Food Ordering Feature

Zomato has announced the launch of its new feature, Zomato for Enterprise (ZFE). This innovative platform is designed to simplify and streamline food expense management for businesses, catering to the needs of corporate employees who frequently order meals for work-related purposes.

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal unveiled the feature on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting its potential to ease the reimbursement process for business-related food orders. “Excited to introduce Zomato for Enterprise (ZFE), a platform designed for companies to solve food expense management,” Goyal wrote.

Goyal elaborated on the need for ZFE, noting that a significant portion of Zomato orders from corporate employees are related to business and often require cumbersome reimbursement processes. “A lot of Zomato orders placed by corporate employees are business-related and need to be reimbursed by the company. The reimbursement process is cumbersome and time-consuming,” he said.

The new ZFE service allows employees to charge their food orders directly to their employers, eliminating the need for upfront payments. Companies can utilize ZFE to add employees, set budgets for orders, and define specific ordering guidelines. Goyal emphasized the convenience this offers: “With ZFE, employees can simply bill their business orders directly to their employer, without having to pay. Companies can use ZFE to add employees, set budgets, define ordering rules and much more. ZFE adds convenience to your employees, while we take care of the rest – with complete transparency.”

Over 100 leading companies have already adopted ZFE, and Goyal encouraged more businesses to explore the new feature. “Over 100 top companies are already using ZFE. We are grateful for their feedback, which has helped shape this initiative. We invite all corporate leaders to try ZFE in your organisation. Write to us at enterprise@zomato.com to get started,” he added.

In a separate but related move, Zomato has finalized the acquisition of Paytm’s entertainment ticketing arm, Paytm Insider. The deal, valued at approximately Rs 2,048 crore, includes the purchase of Paytm’s movie ticketing business, Orbgen Technologies Pvt Ltd (OTPL), for about Rs 1,264.6 crore, and its events ticketing division, Wasteland Entertainment Pvt Ltd, for around Rs 783.8 crore. The acquired businesses will be rebranded under a new going-out app named ‘District,’ set to launch soon.

This acquisition marks Zomato’s third major venture, following the success of its food delivery service and quick commerce initiative, Blinkit. With District, Zomato aims to capture a significant share of the fragmented live events and ticketing sector.
