Zomato Introduces ‘Large Order Fleet’ for Serving Groups of up to 50 People


In a bid to elevate the customer experience for group events and gatherings, leading online food delivery platform Zomato has unveiled India’s first large order fleet. This innovative move aims to streamline the process of catering to sizable gatherings of up to 50 people, ensuring seamless delivery for group events such as parties and corporate meetings.

CEO Deepinder Goyal took to the microblogging site X to announce this groundbreaking initiative, expressing enthusiasm for the enhanced service offerings. In a series of posts, Goyal highlighted the significance of this milestone, emphasizing the platform’s commitment to providing unparalleled convenience and satisfaction to its users.

“Today, we are excited to introduce India’s first large order fleet, designed to handle all your large (group/party/event) orders with ease. This is an all electric fleet, designed specifically to serve orders for a gathering of upto 50 people,” Goyal shared on X.

Recognizing the challenges faced in the past with multiple regular fleet delivery partners, Goyal acknowledged the need for improvement in the customer experience. He noted that the introduction of the large order fleet is poised to address these concerns effectively, promising a more streamlined and efficient delivery process.

“Such large orders were earlier served by multiple regular fleet delivery partners, and the customer experience wasn’t what we really aspired for. These new vehicles should solve most of the problems our customers face while placing large orders on Zomato,” Goyal reiterated.

Moreover, Goyal underlined that the large order fleet is an evolving endeavor, with ongoing efforts to enhance its capabilities further. He revealed plans to incorporate essential features such as cooling compartments and hot boxes with temperature control, ensuring that every order arrives at its destination in optimal condition.

“These vehicles are still work in progress, and we’re in the process of adding important enhancements to them – like cooling compartments, and hot boxes with temperature control – to ensure everything arrives just the way you like,” Goyal affirmed.

With this strategic initiative, Zomato reaffirms its commitment to innovation and customer-centricity, setting a new benchmark in the online food delivery landscape. As the platform continues to revolutionize the way people experience food delivery, the introduction of the large order fleet marks a significant step towards catering to diverse consumer needs and preferences.
