Zomato Denies Involvement in Viral Helmet-Less Biking Video: CEO Deepinder Goyal Speaks Out

New Delhi, [Current Date] – Zomato’s Managing Director & CEO, Deepinder Goyal, has taken to social media to clear the air regarding a viral video that emerged recently. In the video, a woman is seen riding a motorcycle without a helmet while dressed as a delivery partner of the popular online food delivery firm in Indore.

In a post on X, Goyal made the company’s stance crystal clear, stating, “Hey! We had absolutely nothing to do with this. We don’t endorse helmet-less biking. Also, we don’t have an ‘Indore Marketing Head’.”

Goyal’s statement came in response to a post by a user of X, who shared the viral video featuring a woman dressed as a Zomato delivery partner riding a high-end motorcycle and carrying the company’s delivery bag.

The X user with the handle @rajivmehta19 captioned the post, “Indore #Zomato marketing head had this idea. He hired a model to drive around with an empty Zomato bag for one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. @Zomato is on a roll…”.

This video quickly gained traction, amassing over 15 lakh views. Goyal responded to the video, emphasizing, “This seems to be someone just ‘free-riding’ on our brand. Having said that, there’s nothing wrong with women delivering food – we have hundreds of women who deliver food every day to earn a livelihood for their families, and we are proud of their work ethic.”
