Operating in India presents many challenges for online food delivery platforms like Zomato, with some individuals taking advantage of these challenges to cause significant losses for the company. An entrepreneur shared on LinkedIn that a Zomato delivery executive asked him not to pay online and offered to give him the food for a lower price, causing him to feel uneasy about the scam happening within the company.

Vinay Sati, a customer of Zomato, an entrepreneur himself brought the scam on Linkedin, posting about his experience. In his post he stated “I got goosebumps hearing what scam is happening with Zomato. Yesterday I ordered some burger king burgers from Zomato And I also made the online payment. And as soon as the delivery boy came after 30-40 minutes, he told me that sir, don’t pay online next time. I wonder why he said that And I asked why brother?”

To this Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato replied to him in the comment section “Aware of this. Working to plug the loopholes,”.
