Venture Capital firm We Founder Circle target to invest 100 Cr in startups by 2022

We Founder Circle, an investment platform, announced that it hopes to enable investments of roughly Rs 100 crore in Indian companies this year, including a Rs 20 crore commitment from its founders. We Founder Circle (WFC) co-founder & CEO Neeraj Tyagi told PTI that the business last year enabled Rs 30 crore in 33 agreements, with roughly Rs 5 crore contributed by the platform’s founders.
“Our goal for this year is to close 75 agreements, which include repeated investments in expanding firms. We hope to enable Rs 100 crore in investment for Indian companies. WFC co-founders will gain around 20% of the investments “Tyagi stated. He stated that WFC first chooses promising firms, makes an initial investment, and then introduces them to the platform’s investor community.
“Individually, WFC co-founders have invested in over 100 firms. We have observed interest among angel investors from tiny places around the country, such as Rajkot and Bilaspur. We initially invest our money in prospective firms after the comprehensive screening, which increases investor trust in them “Tyagi stated.
According to him, the organization is developing a digital platform to increase transparency in investment and new enterprises. “Several investors in the nation have so far refused to use technology. We have created tools to assist our investment community in tracking the performance of businesses and making choices based on the proper set of facts. Our platform is connected to over 2,000 investors from 33 countries. We intend to expand it to 10,000 investors “Tyagi stated.
WFC co-founder Gaurav V K Singhvi stated that investing in startups as an asset class are expanding and would mature to the level of a mutual fund in a few years, with 7 crore investors participating. “There is a tremendous difference between the number of mutual fund investors and startup investors, which provides a lot of business opportunity as we develop,” Singhvi added.
