Uravu Labs Secures $2.3 Million in Seed Funding


Uravu Labs, a prominent deep-tech startup, has secured $2.3 million in Seed funding from various investors including JITO Angel Network, Anicut Capital, Speciale Invest, Rocketship.vc, Vesta, Spectrum Impact, ZNL Growth Fund, VERSO, Echo River Capital and numerous HNIs. The startup has created a breakthrough technology that produces high-quality drinking water from air using only renewable energy and inexhaustible atmospheric moisture. 

With this funding, the company intends to advance the commercialization of renewable water solutions and focus on scaling up operations, forming new partnerships with major players in the hospitality and beverage industries, and expanding their outreach and impact. Pardeep Garg, co-founder of Uravu Labs, expressed excitement about the startup’s plans to advance their renewable water solutions and broaden their influence by collaborating with top players in the hospitality and beverage industry. He highlighted the company’s significant progress and emphasized their commitment to building and expanding the Uravu brand.

Rajat Mehta, chairman of JIIF, expressed enthusiasm for supporting Uravu Labs’ vision of offering accessible and scalable water solutions. Mehta lauded the company’s innovative technology, which has the potential to transform the way people obtain and utilize water. He also highlighted the significance of investing in a pioneering technology that can help tackle one of the world’s most pressing issues. Mehta’s statement emphasized JIIF’s confidence in the Uravu Labs team’s ability to execute their vision effectively.

Uravu Labs, which was established by Govinda Balaji, Pardeep Garg, Swapnil Shrivastav, and Venkatesh R, employs liquid desiccants to capture moisture from the air. The absorbed moisture is subsequently extracted to produce freshwater using exclusively renewable energy sources, including solar power, biomass, and waste heat.
