Tata Digital Launches Tata NeuSkills, a Reskilling Vertical to Bridge the Upskilling Gap in Ed-Tech Market


Tata Digital has launched Tata NeuSkills, a reskilling vertical, to help address the ed-tech market’s upskilling gap. With the pandemic increasing the demand for digital skills, Tata NeuSkills plans to launch two boot camp-based courses in data analytics and frontend development later this month, with additional courses to follow.

Tata NeuSkills’ new courses are said to be six months long and will require at least 15 hours per week from the learner. Before being evaluated, a learner must complete a capstone project in order to become certified.

Tata NeuSkills is offering the courses for a ‘introductory price’ of INR 60,000, excluding tax, though the website states that the entire course costs INR 1 Lakh + GST.

Learners who complete the courses with at least 80% attendance and at least 80% marks on MCQs and HOCs will be considered for placement at one of Tata Group’s or partner companies, such as BigBasket e-grocery, 1mg, and Cult.fit, TCS, Croma, Air Asia, Westside, Tata Cliq, and others. Tata NeuSkills also claims that after being placed, learners can earn a 40% raise or more based on their performance.

Learners will also have the opportunity to intern at these companies for up to three months during the course, allowing them to apply their newly acquired skills in a professional setting.

Tata NeuSkills is the second edtech play in the Tata Group, following the digital classroom solution Tata ClassEdge. The launch of Tata NeuSkills demonstrates the Tata Group’s commitment to closing the edtech upskilling gap.
