Tap Invest Secures $2 Million in Seed Funding Led by Turbostart

Investment startup Tap Invest, formerly known as ‘Leaf Round,’ revealed on Wednesday that it had successfully raised $2 million in a seed funding round. Leading the investment was the renowned venture capital fund, Turbostart. The funding round also featured participation from Snow Leopard Ventures, alongside notable angel investors such as Kunal Shah, Founder of Cred, and Kashyap Shah, the CPO and CEO of Creditstar UK. Existing investors, Upsparks and Superb Capital, continued their support of the startup.

The core focus of Tap Invest lies in the fixed-income market, offering a range of investment solutions, including Asset Leasing and Invoice Discounting, to its customers. Over the past year, the platform has effectively onboarded 12,500 investors who collectively invested a sum of Rs 150 crores. Setting its sights on ambitious growth, the company aims to expand its investor base to 20,000 and accumulate investments totaling Rs 500 crores by the close of 2024.

Nishchay Nath, CEO and Founder of Tap Invest (formerly Leaf Round), shared his insights, stating, “The fixed-income investment category in India today accounts for approximately 70% of all investment assets. India is witnessing a rise in digital investment, and it’s the right time for fintech firms like Tap Invest to step in and make these digital investment adoption processes seamless by building a compliant ecosystem which is ‘responsible’ and offers tech-enabled products and services to its users.”

The injected funds will be pivotal in supporting Tap Invest’s expansion efforts, facilitating the diversification of its product portfolio within the realm of debt investments. The company also intends to create awareness about investment opportunities within the sector, targeting both young and traditional investors. In line with these growth objectives, Tap Invest is actively recruiting professionals for various roles, including product development, engineering, operations, marketing, and sales.
