T-Hub bags best Incubator in India award at National Startup Awards 2022

T-Hub, hailed as one of the world’s largest startup incubators and an emerging national and international role model, has won the best incubator award from Startup India, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

T-hub was named the winner of the incubator sub-category of the startup ecosystem enablers category at the National Startup Awards 2022, which were presented by Union Commerce and Industries Minister Piyush Goyal on the occasion of National Startup Day 2023 on Monday.

The Telangana-led incubator outperformed 55 other participating incubators from across the country in various aspects such as startup funding, sector focus, strong market connections, partnerships, and overall impact created in the startup ecosystem spanning over 2,500 startups.

“T-Hub enables and empowers an ecosystem hungry for innovation. T-Hub has elevated innovation for leading national and global corporations, transforming their business models for the better. Collaborating with innovation partners and enablers in Telangana, India and across the world, T-Hub is building a future ready innovation ecosystem,” DPIIT said citing the reason for the award.

“T-Hub has provided over 2,000 national and international startups access to superior technology, talent, mentors, customers, corporates, investors and government agencies, among other innovation ecosystem stakeholders,” DPIIT added.

The Hyderabad-based incubator is not only assisting governments in states such as Odisha and Goa in establishing similar incubators in their respective states, but it is also assisting countries such as Kazakhstan in replicating the T-Hub model.

While industries and information technology minister KT Rama Rao congratulated the T-Hub team on their big win, state industries and information technology principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan told TOI that when the government decided to set up T-Hub, many people opposed them.
