SydeLabs Secures $2.5 Million Seed Round to Develop AI Security Solutions for Enterprises

SydeLabs, an AI security and risk management startup, has successfully raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round. The financing was spearheaded by RTP Global, with additional contributions from Picus Capital and prominent angel investors.

The influx of Generative AI technology has ushered in a new realm of cybersecurity vulnerabilities, prompting SydeLabs to embark on a mission to safeguard these sophisticated systems. The company’s suite of AI security and risk management solutions aims to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time, ensuring the resilience of enterprise AI frameworks against malicious attacks and exploitation.

Ruchir Patwa, co-founder & CEO at SydeLabs, emphasized the pivotal role of their platform in bolstering the security posture of GenAI systems, stating: “We are building a comprehensive platform for risk management of Generative AI systems, across the entire development lifecycle. This can give a huge productivity boost to enterprises and prevent costs associated with inaction around security and compliance threats. We want to give confidence to enterprises to deploy GenAI applications without having to worry about security and safety blind spots”.

SydeLabs, led by co-founders Ruchir Patwa and Ankita Kumari, envisions a future where AI applications operate in a secure and abuse-resistant environment. Their solution suite, tailored to detect and prevent vulnerabilities in AI systems, aims to thwart potential cyberattacks, abuse, and regulatory non-compliance.
