Supertails Raises INR 125 Crores in Series B Funding to Accelerate Growth in India’s Booming Pet Care Market

Supertails, the dynamic full-stack tech-enabled pet-care startup, has successfully secured INR 125 crores in Series B funding. The funding round was led by RPSG Capital Ventures, alongside existing investors Fireside Ventures, Saama Capital, DSG Consumer Partners, and Sauce VC.

This substantial capital injection will be instrumental in driving business growth, expanding customer acquisition efforts, and investing in cutting-edge technology. Furthermore, Supertails plans to enhance its healthcare services, particularly the expansion of Supertails Pharmacy. The company aims to venture into offline strategies, shaping an omnichannel experience for consumers.

Founded in June 2021 by Varun Sadana, Aman Tekriwal, and Vineet Khanna, Supertails strives to meet the evolving needs of pet parents with tailored offerings. The pet care market in India, with approximately 35 million pets and growing at a CAGR of 15%+, reflects the rising trend of pets becoming essential members of urban families.

Supertails plans to utilize the funds to double down on growth, with a target to achieve an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of INR 500 crores within the next two years. The co-founders expressed their gratitude for the support, stating, “With this recent round of funding, we envision building an even more organized and easily accessible ecosystem, tailored to the diverse and evolving needs of Indian pet parents.”

Abhishek Goenka, Managing Partner at RPSG Capital Ventures, highlighted their interest in the growing Indian pet care market, emphasizing Supertails’ innovative platform. Kanwaljit Singh, Founder and Managing Partner at Fireside Ventures, praised Supertails for successfully addressing the evolving needs of Indian pet parents and building a comprehensive platform.

Since its inception, Supertails has focused on guiding pet parents through every stage of their journey. The Supertails app offers an extensive range of pet essentials, including food, treats, accessories, and even a pet pharmacy. The platform also provides online vet consultations and behavior training, establishing Supertails as a prominent player in India’s burgeoning $5 billion pet care market.

Supertails had previously raised INR 90 crores in funding, with a Series-A round led by Fireside Ventures. The company currently employs over 150 individuals, with more than 80% of the team being proud pet parents themselves.

In response to the latest funding, Kanwaljit Singh from Fireside Ventures said, “Supertails has had an incredible journey over the past 2 years, and we are proud to have witnessed it since their early days in the market.” The founders expressed excitement about the positive impact they aim to make in the lives of pet parents across the country.
