Social gaming platform WinZO crossed 100 million registered user landmark


Within four years of its existence, social gaming platform WinZO said on Tuesday that it has amassed 100 million registered members.

90% of WinZO’s users are located in tier 2 to tier 5 cities and rural areas, and 20% of them are women.25% of users, according to the platform, are using the local social network for the first time to make a digital payment.

WinZO CEO and Co-Founder Paavan Nanda stated, “We want WinZO to be one of the best worldwide consumer tech products that give a culturally relevant and safe interactive entertainment experience — placing Indian gaming on the map.

“We are thrilled about its applicability in gaming,” he continued, “which will allow Indian gaming to be a $10 billion sector over the next couple of years” with the current roll-out of 5G. There are 12 languages on the network, and “Bharat” users who use their phones exclusively are given a lot of attention.

From the most remote towns and cities, WinZO has a base of over 70,000 local micro-influencers and content producers. Its brand spokesperson is MS Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian cricket team.

WinZO claimed to have developed a technological platform that enables college students and linguists to make up to Rs 20,000 per month by offering localization services from any location in the nation.

With more than 100 games available in six different forms, users spend an average of 55 minutes on the platform.WinZO launched a “Game Developers Fund” with a $26 million corpus earlier this year.
