Social commerce platform Windo raises $1.5M in a pre-Series A funding round

Windo, a social commerce-focused tech platform for individual and small-sized merchants, has secured $1.5 million in a pre-Series A fundraising round headed by Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from CapriGlobal, Aravind Sanka, CEO, Rapido, K Ganesh, Co-founder Portea, and a few others. Windo, founded in 2020 by Rakesh Vaddadi and Silus Reddy, claims to allow solopreneurs, influencers, & small and medium enterprises to set up their online storefronts in minutes.
According to the company’s announcement, the funds obtained will be required to focus on product development as well as to grow the company’s presence in a few other nations. Windo’s stated goal is to produce a genuinely global SaaS solution that assists enterprises everywhere. To that end, the company’s development team has been hard at work improving their on-app experience. The app’s multi-language comprehending capacity is one of the most recent additions. According to the business, the Windo Shop app now can recognize over 100 languages, allowing customers to construct their online marketplace in the language of their choosing.

According to the firm, their software makes it simple for anybody to run their online business to increase orders, assisting them in setting up a professional-looking e-commerce site, and easily marketing their items to their Instagram consumers. In 2021, the social commerce network forecasts a 150 percent increase in active users, a large number of them are paying clients. The software has currently received 200,000 downloads from users in over 140 countries. It claims to have 50,000 active users per month. Windo, which now hosts over 100,000 online stores, is aiming for a $1 million ARR in the next twelve months.
