Serosoft raises Rs 30 Cr in Series A funding from SIDBI ventures


Serosoft Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company that provides educational software and solutions, has raised Rs 30 crore ($3.6 million) in Series A funding from investment management firm SIDBI Venture Capital Limited.

It intends to use the new funds to accelerate global growth across key markets in North America, Europe, and Australia, as well as to build new features into the product and hire new employees.

Arpit Badjatya created the Indore-based company in 2008. Siddharth Badjatiya was later hired as the team’s COO. Academia’s new worldwide market version was created in 2015.

Academia ERP, Serosoft’s flagship solution, is an ERP/Student Information System (SIS) for managing all educational and administrative processes. It enables educational institutions across the spectrum, including universities, colleges, and schools, to track the whole student lifecycle, assess students and analyze outcomes and progress, and connect all stakeholders throughout the education ecosystem into a single, unified platform.

“We believe that founders have built a great sustainable business and are primed to expand globally & become a globally competitive player,” said SP Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), SIDBI Venture.

According to their most recent financials, Serosoft recorded an operational revenue of Rs 23.67 crore and a profit of Rs 4.55 crore in FY2021.
