SecurWeave secures Rs 2.8 cr in seed funding led by IAN


SecurWeave, a cybersecurity startup combating advanced malware attacks, has successfully secured Rs 2.8 crore in seed funding, with the Indian Angel Network (IAN) leading the investment round. Key contributors include notable investors Romesh Sobti, Uday Chatterjee, Nagendra P Bandaru, and Prakash. 

The company, having showcased its capabilities in both private and defense sectors in India, now sets its sights on global expansion. The raised funds will play a pivotal role in advancing SecurWeave’s cybersecurity solutions and supporting its expansion initiatives.

The CEO and co-founder, Dr. Prem Chand, expressed gratitude for the strategic backing. He stated, “With this strategic backing, we are empowered to continue pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity innovation.”

Operating from various workspaces, including IITMIC, IITM Pravartak Technology Innovation Hub, NCoE, DSCI, Noida and NCR, SecurWeave distinguishes itself as the first to introduce technology capable of detecting advanced malware, offering a versatile solution applicable in both civil and military contexts.

Padmaja Ruparel, co-founder of IAN, commended SecurWeave’s strategy and team, highlighting “SecurWeave’s strategy and team are well poised to build a substantial business within the cybersecurity sector, and IAN is looking forward to handholding and guiding this excellent young team.” 

The funding not only positions SecurWeave for growth but also underscores its commitment to further developing and deploying cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions.
