Rusk Media raises $9.5 million in Series A round of funding


The digital entertainment startup Rusk Media Private Limited has secured $9.5 million in an expanded Series A investment round headed by DAOL Investment and Audacity Ventures. Other investors in this round were InfoEdge Ventures, Mistry Ventures, and Survam Partners.

Rusk Media has successfully raised $12 million in the previous three years, with early backers including Nazara Games and NODWIN games. The New Delhi-based firm is recognized for its content and IPs on social channels Alright! and Playground, which have over 500 monthly views, as well as its OTT series.

Rusk claims to have previously collaborated with significant companies such as Mondelez International, Perfetti Van Melle, and Jubilant FoodWorks for its Alright! brand. Furthermore, for its gaming entertainment IP playground, they have teamed with significant companies such as KFC and ITC Limited.

Rusk Media and NODWIN Gaming recently created Playground, a gaming entertainment IP established with gaming entertainers such as CarryMinati, Triggered Insaan, ScoutOP, and Mortal, with over 200 million views. The IP is set to become worldwide for the following edition, which will take place from December 2022 to January 2023.
