Construction tech startup Project Hero raises $3.2 million in seed funding


 Project Hero, a construction tech startup, has raised $3.2 million (Rs 25.5 crore) in seed funding that was led by Omidyar Network India and Ankur Capital. Participation in the round was also seen from angles like Titan Capital and others.

The construction tech startup plans to utilize the funds to develop its technology, bring on more talent for the platform, and increase its market share. Earlier, the company had raised $450,000 from Titan Capital, Anupam Mittal and Varun Alagh in July last year.

The Bangalore based startup claims to have over 4 lakhs construction workers on its platform and has placed over 3,000 workers on projects. 

Additionally, by to placing more than 3,000 workers on projects, the business claims to have over 4 lakh construction workers on its platform.

Project Hero was started by IIT Roorkee graduates Satya Vyas, Pukhraj Grewal, and Raghu Chopra in 2021. Through their product, they assist contractors of all sizes in hiring and managing their workforce, which is typically made up of workers in the construction industry who specialise in trades like bar bending, shuttering, masons, painters, etc. The platform is able to provide economic and experience benefits to both sides of the marketplace by eliminating middlemen from the value chain.
