PhonePe establishes a Green Data Center in India in collaboration with Dell Technologies and NTT


PhonePe announced the opening of its first Green Data Center in India, utilizing Dell Technology and NTT technologies and solutions. With effective data security, power economy, simplicity of operation, and cloud solutions, the Green Data Center is intended to open up new options in data management for PhonePe. The center will also assist the corporation in developing sustainable and efficient infrastructure that will allow it to effortlessly grow its operations across the country.

Speaking at the launch Burzin Engineer, Co-founder, and Chief Reliability Officer, PhonePe said, “We are very excited to work with Dell Technologies and NTT to launch our first Green Data Center in India. This data center will not only help in further seamlessly scaling our business but also help in reducing our carbon footprint.”

This 4.8-megawatt plant in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, was developed and designed using innovative alternative cooling technologies such as Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) and Liquid Immersion Cooling (LIC).

Dell PowerEdge servers in the data center will give a performance, simpler management, and intelligent automation while consuming less energy. The facility, which is equipped with smart cooling technology, will reduce energy consumption and significantly lower the company’s carbon footprint, conserving more than 25% on power.
