Peptris secures $1M funding from Speciale Invest and additional investors

“Peptris Technologies Private Limited, an AI-driven drug discovery company headquartered in Bangalore, has disclosed a $1 million pre-seed round investment led by Speciale Invest.”

Stressing the significance of this strategic funding, Peptris highlighted its commitment to advancing AI-driven solutions in drug development. They particularly aim to focus on creating innovative therapies for undruggable targets, especially in fields like oncology, inflammation, and rare diseases.

“Peptris revolutionizes drug discovery with its cutting-edge AI platform, expediting a traditionally lengthy and costly process into a more efficient one,” expressed the company in a statement.

“The unique amalgamation of technological prowess and pharmaceutical expertise positions Peptris strategically. Leveraging recent AI advancements, especially in unsupervised learning and extensive chemical libraries, the company aims to streamline preclinical development timelines and costs significantly,” they further added.

Expanding its research scope to include rare diseases alongside oncology and inflammation, Peptris emphasized the integration of AI in discovering novel therapeutic options. Their focus on addressing over 7000 known conditions lacking approved treatments reflects a dedication to filling crucial gaps in healthcare and biotechnology.

Founded in 2019, Peptris boasts a leadership team combining deep pharmaceutical knowledge with advanced computational technology. Narayanan Venkatasubramanian, CEO and co-founder of Peptris, expressed enthusiasm regarding the investment: “This partnership is a significant milestone for us.
