PepsiCo Partners with ONDC to Enhance Market Presence

PepsiCo India, a leading player in the food and beverage industry, has announced its collaboration with the government-initiated Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). Through this partnership, PepsiCo aims to enhance the discoverability of its products and extend its customer outreach by leveraging ONDC-affiliated seller applications, as stated in a joint statement. Ahmed ElSheikh, President of PepsiCo India, highlighted the company’s continuous drive for innovative go-to-market models.

“The integration with ONDC marks a pivotal step in this journey as it not only helps us to leverage the latest technology platform solutions that will make us faster and flexible in our speed to market but also helps us to solidify our commitment to elevating consumer experiences,” expressed the President of PepsiCo India.

T Koshy, Managing Director and CEO of ONDC, commented on the development, saying, “As ONDC Network aims to create a transparent e-commerce ecosystem creating equal opportunities for all, we are happy to see PepsiCo India on board. PepsiCo India can now reach a wider customer base while offering expanded choices for buyers on the network.”

ONDC, initiated by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is designed to empower small retailers, reduce the dominance of e-commerce giants, and build a transparent and interoperable network where buyers and sellers can transact without being confined to a single platform.

This initiative provides small retailers the opportunity to offer their services and products to buyers across the nation through an e-commerce system. Buyers can purchase products from various platforms within this network. PepsiCo India’s consumer portfolio encompasses renowned brands such as Pepsi, 7UP, Mountain Dew, Slice, Tropicana, Mirinda, Lay’s, Kurkure, Uncle Chips, and Quaker Oats.
